Megan Rose

After gaining a BAHons degree from Nottingham Trent University in Fashion Management Megan never lost her keen interest in Fine Art and always had a strong affiliation to creativity. Megan actively connects the two disciplines of Fashion Design and Fine Art. Within her studies she linked the practices of Fabric Printing with her love of pattern thus fusing her two passions together.

Megan has been influenced by Fashion Designers and Fine Artists who use pattern and motifs to draw the viewer to the work, including Damien Hurst, Yayoi Kusama and Anni Albers ‘who considered Coco Chanel a great artist’, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith ‘cited Annie Albers as a great influence with a wonderful eye for colour’ and Alexander McQueen.

Fashion Designer Sarah Burton ‘wedding dress designer to Catherine Middleton’ collaborated with Damien Hurst for her full Autumn Winter 2013 collection. The intertwining of Art and Fashion has been seen within Fashion Show collections and Art Exhibitions around the world. The dominating criteria seems to lie within a response to their surroundings, passion, creativity and a determination to work ethics.
