Megan uses solvent soluble paint onto paper and canvas to produce ethereal abstracted imagery. Consideration is given to the repetition, pattern, colour and form. She examines the juxtaposition of the imagery and the untouched space.
The abstracted motifs take on a new rhetoric once combined and repeated within the paintings allowing for the viewer to examine and classify the works from within their own experiences and an understanding of the world they themselves inhabit.
Megan uses colour and strength of colour to provide magnetism to each individual motif constructing value to them as individuals within a whole. The colour provides enrichment to the work, bringing together an instinctive collusion of colour, pattern and structure.
